Job summary

Bridgers & Paxton Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks a Systems Administrator to join the Albuquerque office. The role requires hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, BitLocker, Group Policy, PKI, and Windows File Server management.

You will manage Hyper-V, MECM/SCCM, and PKI services, along with network infrastructure and Fortinet firewalls. You will also deploy and image systems, use PowerShell for automation, administer Microsoft 365 on-prem and cloud components, implement 2FA, and

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and PKI services.
• Experience administering Windows File Server, ACLs, permissions and audit trails.
• Hyper-V administration including performance tuning and security.
• Network administration including VLANs and routing.
• Experience with MECM/SCCM administration and deployment.
• Application deployment and packaging processes.
• Scripting with PowerShell for AD, MECM, and related systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and on-premises integration.
• Familiarity with two-factor authentication implementations.
• Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and diagrams.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-171 R2/R3 controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a medium-sized network across multiple offices.
• Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, and BitLocker.
• Administer Windows File Server and share permissions.
• Oversee Hyper-V environments and backup strategies.
• Handle network infrastructure and VLANs.
• Manage Fortinet firewalls and security practices.
• Administer SAN/iSCSI storage and performance.
• Operate MECM/SCCM for software deployment and imaging.
• Develop and maintain deployment scripts using PowerShell.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud integration.
• Implement and audit two-factor authentication.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Support compliance with NIST 800-171 standards.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our team in our Albuquerque office.

The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to maintain a medium sized network that spans multiple offices in a collaborative environment of engineers within Bridgers & Paxton.

Certifications demonstrating knowledge or a specialization, in the systems/programs listed below is a plus however it is not a requirement.

In this position, the ideal candidate will have significant working experience with the following applications and services:

1. Active Directory Services and Management, Including:DHCP, DNS, Bitlocker, Group Policy,PKI Services, etc.
2. WindowsFile Server Management (Mapped Drives, Permissions (ACLs/SACLs), Folder Structures & Security Auditing)
3. HyperV Administration (Performance, Best Practices, Security, Data Safety)
4. Network Administration - Physically and Logical (Routing, VLANs, Network Infrastructure)
5. Foritnet Products (Firewalls, Analysis, Best Practices)
6. Storage Systems (SANs, iSCSI, Best Practices, Performance & Maintenance)
7. Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)/ System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
8. Application Deployment and Packaging
9. System Imaging and Deployment (PXE, DHCP)
10. Powershell and Powershell usage related to the above modules (AD, MSGraph, etc.)
11. Microsoft on-prem and365 Administration
12. Two Factor Authentication
13. Documentation Creation (Technical Writing, Instructional Documentation)
14. NIST 800-171 R2 & R3 Compliance (Policies & Procedures, Documentation, Change tracking)
