Job summary

Regions is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain the integrity of the operating system environment under direct supervision. You will perform upgrades, server administration, storage planning, backups, and change control while ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities include scripting with PowerShell and Bash, license monitoring, and contributing to process improvements. The role requires a related degree or equivalent experience and is currently offsite within Regions' 15-state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program entry level or four years of related experience.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments and scripting.
• Ability to interpret and comply with applicable rules and cybersecurity practices.

Job Description:

At Regions, the Systems Administrator maintains the integrity of the operating system environment, under direct supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs system software upgrades including planning, scheduling, testing, and coordination under direct supervision
• Performs workstation and server administration setup
• Coordinates disk space planning and management as directed
• Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories
• Performs data backups and recoveries
• Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements
• Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control
• Performs scripting as needed (i.e. Powershell and Bash)
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program entry level
• Or a High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years of related experience

This position is currently offsite within our 15 state footprint, preferably close to a Regions office and associates will work from their home primarily. They may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.
