Job summary

The Bishop Paiute Tribe’s Wanaaha Casino is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and support the casino's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Systems/Network Administrator.
• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise in Windows 10 & 11 and Windows Server operating systems.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, LAN, VLAN, VPNs and Security.
• Proficient in system security tools, IDS and IPS systems.
• Advanced experience with virtualization and VM management, (VMware).
• Experience with FortiGate, Cisco, and HP Technologies.
• Experience with enterprise backup software.
• Experience with VoIP and SIP phones systems.
• MS SQL Server is a plus.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical and virtual servers, SANs, and desktops.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Network Infrastructure.
• Install, configure and manage network equipment and tools.
• Manage firewalls, patching vulnerabilities, and enforcing security policies to protect Casino data.
• Monitor network and server performance to prevent downtime and security risks.
• Maintain system backups and test disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot phone system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network errors and provide technical support.
• Assist in creating and maintaining thorough internal documentation regarding network configurations and system procedures, collaborating with the I.T. Team.
• Other technical and non-technical duties assigned by the I.T. Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the Casino’s I.T. infrastructure, including; servers, network systems, operating systems, and associated hardware and software. This role ensures the availability, reliability, performance, and security of all assigned systems in accordance with organizational policies and industry’s best practices.

The Systems Administrator will collaborate with the I.T. team to implement, maintain, and improve technology solutions, support infrastructure and system upgrade projects. The Administrator will also provide technical support to end users, and interact with vendors to coordinate maintenance, procurement, and technical support services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, I.T. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Systems/Network Administrator.
• Expertise in Windows 10 & 11 and Windows Server operating systems.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, LAN, VLAN, VPNs and Security.
• Proficient in system security tools, IDS and IPS systems.
• Advanced experience with virtualization and VM management, (VMware).
• Experience with FortiGate, Cisco, and HP Technologies.
• Experience with enterprise backup software.

• The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License and pass an extensive background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
