Lockheed Martin in San Diego is seeking highly motivated Network/System Administrators to support Ballistic Missile Defense and related DoD activities. Responsibilities include configuring new assets, hardening to STIGs, managing security tools, setting up users, and maintaining software.

Qualifications include solid Red Hat Enterprise experience, Windows Server setup, and lab support in Linux/Windows environments.

Qualifications

• DoD RMF compliance required.
• Experience in classified environments.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.

Responsibilities

THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Is Looking For Highly Motivated, Experienced Individuals To Perform Network/system Administration And Support On a Variety Of Complex Platforms Supporting BMD And Other DoD Related Activities. System Administration Activities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Setup and configuration of new computing assets, to include STIG compliant hardening
• Configuration, fine tuning, and maintenance of security tools such as Nessus, ACAS, Splunk, etc.
• Setting up/configuring new users
• Installation and configuration of new software on computing assets
• Performing preventive maintenance on hardware
• Assisting the Cybersecurity team in maintaining the compliance of computing assets

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Basic Qualifications

Solid background/experience with Red Hat Enterprise

• Microsoft Windows Server Setup, Configuration,

Experience providing lab support including:

Network/System Administration

• Experience with server and desktop management of Linux and Windows environments
• Familiar with package deployment, imaging, and patching

Desired Skills

Compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Policies (or NIST 800-53)

• Experience providing support in classified environments
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP is required.
• Familiar with Active Directory and SCCM
• Experience with Aegis and other BMD systems/platforms
• Experience interacting with both internal and external customers/end-users
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
