Job summary

Lockheed Martin's NGG team is seeking an experienced System Administrator to ensure smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including classified environments. You will coordinate with network admins, manage user access, maintain documentation, and deploy system-wide software while optimizing performance and backups.

You will work across Linux and Windows servers, allocate storage, evaluate vendor products, and help develop policies for computing resource use.

Qualifications

  • Active SECRET clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • DoD 8572 qualified certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
  • Some experience administering Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Proven experience in a multi-user, multi-environment system administration role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate multi-user computer systems in a classified/air-gapped environment.
  • Coordinate with network administrators to ensure system stability and security.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts; manage user access and permissions.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and operational procedures.
  • Monitor and tune system performance across Linux and Windows server environments.

Basic Qualifications

Desired Skills
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or similar hypervisors)
  • Experience with storage systems and platforms (e.g., NetApp, Nimble, or comparable)
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, domain services, and Windows/Linux integration
  • Experience working in classified or air-gapped environments
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
  • Willingness and ability to participate in on-call rotation supporting 24x7 operations within a standard 40-hour work week
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
