Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with SECRET clearance to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. The role supports Agile projects, maintains Windows Server, AD, and enterprise workstations, and manages VMware/Horizon View environments.

You will implement security controls, perform patching, and provide Tier 2/3 support, with a focus on reliability, automation, and documentation. A DOD Secret (SSBI) T5 clearance and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows system administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware, or Horizon View.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere, or Horizon View.
• CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher.
• Must have a valid, industry-recognized certification relevant to their area of systems administration, such as Microsoft, Linux, or VMware.
• Active DOD Secret (SSBI) T5 clearance

• VMware Management: Deploy, configure, and optimize VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter solutions.
• Horizon View Implementation: Support VDI environments, manage virtual desktop configurations, and ensure seamless end-user experience.
• Security & Compliance: Implement system hardening, patch management, and access controls per organizational standards.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support, diagnosing and resolving system/network issues efficiently.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system health, implement automation, and fine-tune configurations to improve operational efficiency.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.
• Work environment: Industrial shipyard

Job Summary

This position is for an Agile team member that provides operations and project support to a long-standing portfolio of projects in Newport News Virginia. Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role. They have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work. They manage projects with oversight from their supervisor. Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Defines specifications for operating systems applications and modifies/maintains existing applications. Designs, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructure including hardware, software, and various configurations. Designs and deploys systems based on business/user requirements.

Basic Qualifications

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $83,520 - $125,280. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation.
