Job summary

The Phoenix Group in New York seeks a Systematic ETF Trader to own and enhance a high-performance trading system focused on ETF market making, arbitrage, and cross-asset hedging. You will drive daily P&L, refine trading algorithms, and collaborate with infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities include building automated strategies, managing risk, and expanding signals and backtesting. Strong Python and C++ skills are required; Series 7/57 licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years in systematic market making or ETF arbitrage with live strategies.
• Strong knowledge of ETF creation/redemption processes and NAV dynamics.
• Experience optimizing trading algorithms, spread models, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Actively trade equity ETFs, futures, and related derivatives in a systematic framework.
• Design, own, and optimize market making, arbitrage, and hedging strategies.
• Develop and refine automated trading models from research to production.
• Collaborate with engineers to reduce latency and improve infrastructure.
• Implement real-time risk controls and P&L monitoring.
