Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Executive Medical Director of Medical Group Surgical Quality in Evanston, IL to lead system-wide surgical quality and patient safety initiatives. The role focuses on standardizing care, advancing performance improvement, and ensuring regulatory readiness across all surgical service lines.

The position reports to the System Surgery leadership team, with 0.6 FTE administrative time, and requires MD/DO, board certification in a surgical specialty, and extensive

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in a surgical specialty within the Department of Surgery.
• Current medical license (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
• 5+ years of experience practicing physician in EMR optimization, clinical informatics and total population health.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in quality improvement.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive standardization of care and reduce clinical variation; monitor quality and safety metrics; advise executive leadership on surgical quality strategy and accreditation readiness.
• Collaborate on value-based care programs and EHPP to align incentives and outcomes.
• Lead efforts to standardize patient access, scheduling, throughput and ambulatory service metrics (wait times, call center responsiveness, digital access).
• Develop systemwide specialty-specific playbooks and promote cross-specialty benchmarking.
• Oversee implementation of lean and continuous improvement in ambulatory workflows and integration of digital tools.
