Wipro in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a hardware test engineer to perform first-level triage, validation, and fault isolation on server platforms.

You will design diagnostic tools, develop automation using Python and Shell, and work with CPUs/GPUs in Windows and Linux environments. This role requires strong problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced NPI cycle.

Formación

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong scripting in Python and Shell.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments.
• Working knowledge of hardware protocols: Ethernet, Infiniband, PCIe, USB, HDMI, I2C, SPI.
• Experience with CPUs and GPUs.
• Proficient in using test equipment for diagnostics and validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Mandatory Skills: VLSI Board Design.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first-level hardware triage and troubleshooting for server platforms.
• Design and implement diagnostic tools and scripts for early hardware validation and fault isolation.
• Identify and resolve setup issues and test failures using structured troubleshooting methodologies.
• Develop and maintain test automation using Shell and Python scripting.
• Work with motherboards and GPU platforms in lab environments.
• Work with systems connected by various networking protcols, including Ethernet, NVLink and Infiniband
• Operate in Windows and Linux operating systems for test and debug tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support diagnostics, validation, and smooth product transitions in the NPI cycle.

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments.

Mandatory Skills: VLSI Board Design .

Experience: 3-5 Years .

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $140,000 .

• Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
