Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Validation Engineer to execute both manual and automated test cases for AMD platform validation. The role involves validating complex systems that span ASIC hardware, drivers, firmware, BIOS, operating systems, and applications. You will also play a key role in tool development using modern techniques, including LLMs (Large Language Models), Python scripting, and Jupyter notebooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manual and automated tests for validating ASIC hardware, drivers, software tools, firmware, BIOS, OS, and applications.
• Develop and enhance system validation tools for AMD platforms using techniques like LLMs, prompt engineering, and Jupyter notebooks.
• Configure and maintain test hardware and infrastructure across multiple test systems.
• Automate application flows on Windows OS, such as web browsing and streaming start/stop tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and software issues in the lab.
• Interpret test results and present data using tables and graphs.
• Review and improve test plans and procedures to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Work collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional team environment.
• Ensure safe handling and setup of electronic equipment and lab hardware.
• Perform routine lab activities, including lifting up to 5 laptops and accessing elevated areas using ladders or safety tools.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Windows OS application development and automation.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) in post-silicon Notebook PC platform validation.
• Proficient in Python, PERL, and .NET/C# programming languages.
• Familiar with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong experience with GitHub and virtual machine setup for deployment.
• Solid knowledge of system-level components: Memory, PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet, CPU, Chipset, etc.
• Familiar with PC hardware configuration: installing/configuring processors, memory, drives, and network cards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, regression analysis, and test data interpretation.
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS testing environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Quick learner with a desire to grow and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Experience working with LLMs to optimize processes is a strong plus.
