Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking a System Test Engineer to support testing and validation of advanced machine technology. You will work with an experienced team, develop test plans, and validate machine systems on-site at customer facilities.

The role requires travel up to 25%, strong communication, and experience with embedded software and sensors. This is a full-time opportunity in Dubuque, IA, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Ability to interpret software requirements, state diagrams, and test plan documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test software technologies on construction and off-highway equipment.
• Develop and execute machine and system validation test plans.
• Use surveying equipment to measure camera system field of view and performance.
• Coordinate testing activities with PV&V teams.
• Document results and provide feedback to engineering and design teams.
• Support R&D and technology testing activities using engineering machines.
• Conduct field evaluations at customer locations.
• Gather and document customer feedback.
• Prepare trip reports and communicate findings to project teams.
• Support equipment logistics and machine availability for testing activities.
