Job summary

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is seeking a System Support Technician to maintain critical business systems and workstation functionality. You will manage hardware, peripherals, and software configurations across the casino campus in Miami, FL.

The role requires 3 years in IT networking, A+ certification, and the ability to obtain a Tribal Gaming License; MCSE/MCSA preferred. You will work a demanding, round-the-clock schedule in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, bilingual is a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
• 3 years of experience in IT networking
• Working knowledge PC skills including MS Word and Excel
• Flexibility in work schedule required.

• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, maintain manual dexterity to operate job related equipment, such as telephones, copiers, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction
• Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
• Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned
• Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the System Support Technician is to support the various critical business systems/applications deployed through- out the organization. The System Support Technician ensures that all workstations are fully functional in regards to hardware, and peripheral devices . All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Tribal Gaming Agency policies, practices, and procedures.

• Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Ensure security and privacy of computer systems
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware and network connectivity problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
• Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines
• Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times and to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
• Performs other related duties as assigned

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
