Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer (System Owner) for its Marcy, NY fab. You will be the technical owner for critical mechanical utility systems, driving reliability, capacity, and lifecycle management to support semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include optimizing CDA, chilled water, MAUs, boilers, cooling towers, and exhaust systems while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of facilities engineering experience.
• Experience with semiconductor fab facilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, CDA, PCW, pumps and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for mechanical utility systems and ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance for uptime and efficiency.
• Support design, commissioning, and startup of new mechanical utility projects.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Capital Projects teams for continuous improvement.
