Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer (System Owner) to support the Marcy, NY manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for reliability, capacity, operation and lifecycle management of critical mechanical utility systems that support semiconductor manufacturing.

As the mechanical system owner you will lead maintenance, optimization, and project activities, collaborate across teams, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 5+ years of facilities/ utilities engineering experience.
• Experience in semiconductor or mission-critical facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical utility systems operations: own systems, troubleshoot alarms, ensure safe reliable operation.
• HVAC and cooling system management: optimize chillers, pumps, MAUs, CRACs and CDA.
• Process exhaust and environmental controls: support exhaust systems and compliance requirements.
• Maintenance and reliability: lead preventive and predictive maintenance; conduct root cause analyses.
• Design, projects and commissioning: support design, startup, commissioning of new systems and turnovers.
