Job summary

The Recruitment Council is seeking a detail-oriented System Operational Analyst to join its platform operations team. You will support investment platforms by ensuring data integrity, managing batch processing, and optimizing day-to-day workflows.

This role requires strong SQL, experience with SQL Server, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with five years in the investment industry and LISP exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent professional IT qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the investment industry with proven LISP experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batch runs to ensure platform availability and resolve process exceptions.
• Process client incomes, debit orders, fee accruals, and fee collections accurately; manage distributions and interest allocations.
• Investigate and correct data integration issues, resolve negative balances or unresolved deals, and execute wrap rebalances and bulk switches.
• Assist with annual/provisional tax data testing, CGT updates, SARS submission data setups, and internal/external audit requests.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for core operational systems and assist with system testing and special projects.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical System Operational Analyst to join their platform operations team. In this role, you will act as a vital support arm across our client’s investment platforms, ensuring data integrity, managing batch processing, and optimizing day-to-day operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Batch Processing & System Monitoring: Oversee daily batch runs to ensure platform availability, resolve process exceptions, and set up evening batch data.
• Financial & Transactional Operations: Process client incomes, debit orders, fee accruals, and fee collections accurately. Manage changes to income distributions and interest allocations.
• Data Integrity & Reconciliations: Investigate and correct data integration issues, resolve negative balances or unresolved deals, and execute wrap rebalances and bulk switches.
• Tax & Audit Compliance: Assist with annual/provisional tax data testing, CGT updates, SARS submission data setups, and internal/external audit requests.
• Operational Support & Testing: Provide 1st and 2nd level support for core operational systems, maintain static system data (calendars, instrument setups), and assist with system testing and special projects.

Requirements:

• Education: National Diploma in Computer Data Processing or a relevant IT qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the investment industry with proven LISP experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL knowledge, working experience with SQL Server, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
