Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an experienced Systems and Network Administrator to support IT systems, troubleshoot, and maintain client/server/storage/network devices. You will manage virtual and storage environments across Linux, UNIX, and Windows, implement OS enhancements, and resolve complex hardware/software issues.

You will work with HP tools, OneView, Sitescope, and collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence, GitHub, and ServiceNow. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a system/network administrator required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
• Five years of additional system/network administrator experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution processes.
• Configure and manage virtual and storage environments; Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
• Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure virtual, storage, and network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Configure and manage Linux/CentOS operating systems and install/load OS software with enhancements.
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components.
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
• Utilize system monitoring tools such as HP Tools / OneView, Sitescope.
• Apply virtualization experience.
• Use Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub, and ServiceNow for collaboration and issue tracking.
