Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking a Level I–III installer to assist with BAS installations in Tulsa, OK. You will read BAS submittals, install conduit, wiring, and related components, and help with project documentation while learning company standards and safety procedures.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to operate a company vehicle, and read construction plans. Experience in electrical/low-voltage or HVAC controls is preferred; Journeyman’s license is a plus.

Summary of Position

This position involves the installation of conduit and wiring of devices and controllers for Building Automation Systems. The technician must be capable of reading and interpreting MEP plans & specifications, and capable of reading and interpreting BAS Submittal Drawings. We do require applicants to possess a valid driver’s license and they must qualify to operate a company vehicle.

Level I - Responsible for assisting with the installation of Building Automation System (BAS) materials, including electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, control devices, and related components. Works under the direction and supervision of experienced installers or project leads while learning company installation standards, safety procedures, and processes. Must be willing to learn how to read construction plans, specifications, and BAS installation drawings, and assist with material handling, job-site organization, basic installation tasks, and project documentation. May assist with point-to-point checkout and troubleshooting as skills develop. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company requirements to operate a company vehicle. Electrical, low-voltage, HVAC controls, or construction experience is preferred but not required. A Journeyman’s License is preferred, but not required. (0–1 years of relevant experience)

Level 2 - Requires the ability to work independently on assigned installation tasks with limited supervision. Must be able to install electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation System (BAS) materials. Must be able to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and BAS installation drawings. Responsible for supporting project installations, maintaining organized materials and tools, following company standards and safety procedures, and assisting with troubleshooting and point-to-point checkout as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company requirements to operate a company vehicle. A Journeyman’s License is preferred, but not required. (1-2 years of relevant experience)

Level-3-Requires no supervision while laying out the installation of multiple projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site. Must be able to support apprentices needs with the installation of electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material. The team member must also have a complete understanding of the standard processes, procedures, and products that the company invests in, while being able to troubleshoot any system issues they encounter. Additional responsibilities would be performing point-to-point checkout, completing thorough project documentation, and identifying change order opportunities. A Journeyman’s License is preferred, but not required. (3+ years of experience)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordinate and communicate with project managers and team leads to meet the needs of all project requirements.
• Assist teammates as needed.
• Installation of control wiring, control components, EMT conduit, reading and understanding electrical diagrams, working from ladders.
• Reading MEP plans and other Construction documents.
• Provide status reports of work related to any project involvement.
• Troubleshooting abilities.
• Possesses or willing to obtain OSHA Safety Certificate.

Requirements

• GED or High school diploma with at least one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clean criminal history.
• Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify to operate a company vehicle.
• Must possess documented experience/training on various systems and controls.
• Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
• Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3, and would be preferred, but not a necessity for Level 1-2.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisor, and fellow team members.
• Work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand and climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize based on departmental functions
