Job summary

Albireo Energy in the West Palm Beach area seeks an experienced Building Automation Technician to install conduits and wire devices and controllers for BAS. You will read MEP plans and BAS submittals, with a valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle.

The role includes field installation, coordination with project managers, and on-site troubleshooting. Requires Journeyman’s License in Florida or equivalent experience, ongoing safety training, and ability to support

Qualifications

  • GED or High school diploma with at least one year of related experience and/or training
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify to operate a company vehicle
  • Must possess documented experience/training on various systems and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3, and would be preferred, but not a necessity for Level 1-2
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisors, and fellow team members
  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand and climb stairs and ladders
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize based on departmental functions

Level 3 Requires minimal supervision while laying out the installation of multiple projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site. Must be able to support apprentices' needs with the installation of electrical conduits, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material. The team member must also have a complete understanding of the standard processes, procedures, and products that the company invests in, while being able to troubleshoot any system issues they encounter. Additional responsibilities would be performing point-to-point checkout, completing thorough project documentation, and identifying change order opportunities. Must hold a Journeyman's License in the State of Florida or equivalent experience. (4+ years of experience).

Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed
  • Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3, and would be preferred, but not a necessity for Level 1-2
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisors, and fellow team members
  • Work independently and as a team member
