Job Description: System Engineer (Senior) in McLean, VA

Base Pay Range

$85.00/hr - $115.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coordinate, design, develop, and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, operating systems, and attached devices. This includes investigation, analysis, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software.
  • Provide support in daily operations of network hardware and operating systems, including system utilization evaluation, response time monitoring, and operational problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoot physical network issues, working with measurement hardware/software and verifying hardware devices at the logical level using communication protocols.
  • Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation of new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
  • Perform systems management and integration functions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with virtualization technologies and network administration.
  • Maintain network infrastructure standards, including communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • Provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff as required by the government.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex communication issues.
  • Manage system deployment, evaluation, testing, certification, patching, and address interoperability issues across all features, components, and application dependencies.
  • Ensure systems are updated with approved patches, assist with certification and accreditation tasks, and create SOPs and quick reference guides for users.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

The pay range reflects the lowest to highest compensation we believe we might pay at posting. Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, skills, and other factors. This range may be updated in the future.

Salaried employees receive paid time off; hourly employees' paid time off eligibility depends on legal requirements. Hourly employees on certain projects may be eligible for sick leave.

Note: Compensation is only considered earned once paid. The company reserves the right to modify pay at its discretion.

This role is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
