Technical Project Engineer – Phone as a Key
Primary responsibilities include partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive development of our next generation product design.
Daily Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering activities including requirements management, interface specifications, and cascading system requirements to subsystems.
- Serve as the primary technical and project interface to customers, leading discussions on change management, system requirements, architecture, and emerging technologies (digital key, CPD, intrusion detection).
- Plan and manage project scope, schedule, cost, and resources, ensuring milestone delivery and alignment across global, cross‑functional teams.
- Provide project management leadership, ensuring team collaboration, transparency, and support for new business acquisition through feasibility assessments and technical proposals.
- Support system integration, verification, and validation activities such as DV/PV planning, vehicle level testing, issue debugging, and test failure recovery coordination.
- Manage technical governance including change control, risk tracking, quality reviews, and ownership of the System DFMEA and technical risk register.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of automotive industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills with customer‑facing experience supporting issue resolution and requirement discussions.
- Ability to manage cross‑domain engineering assignments while maintaining composure in global, cross‑functional environments; strong intercultural collaboration skills required.
- Knowledge of BLE, UWB, RF communications, cybersecurity, and functional safety (ISO 26262) is preferred but not required.
- Experience evaluating functional and technical architecture at both system and component levels.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and engineering tools such as PTC/MKS and DOORS (or equivalent).
