Job summary

The Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking System Engineers to support our customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role focuses on risk assessment, requirements management, and DoDAF-aligned system engineering across multiple business systems.

Qualified candidates will have US citizenship, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and extensive SE experience (TS/SCI w/Poly is required). The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
  • Twenty (20) years’ experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Business System interoperability experience.
  • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly.
  • Assist the Acquisition Finance Management (AFM) PMO and Integration Lead to develop and execute a Risk Assessment for the Integration and deployment of 20+ business enabling systems.
  • The Risk Assessment will identify risks associated with grouping/phasing of business systems.
  • The Risk Assessment is intended to “buy down” the risks associated with this program.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessments associated with COTS products is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Business Systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft, CHI Momentum, SAP NS2 is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Architecture and security is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessment and management for major system acquisitions.
  • Manage system requirements and derive components to meet architecture. DoDAF and SOA alignment.
  • Develop sections of SE documentation (SPEs, ICs, Requirements specs, ICDs).
  • Coordinate resolution of action items from CCBs, design reviews, and test reviews.
  • Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities.

Position Summary

The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for System Engineers to support our customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Essential Job Functions
  • Business system implementation Risk, Risk management, assessment and research; this includes leading integrated Product Team/Working Group to reduce risks in current and future increments.
  • Perform risk assessment for the major system acquisition related to the integration and deployment of the modernized business systems.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture.
  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination.
  • Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations.
Minimum Required Qualifications

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $192,000.00.
