Amentum is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the Space Force Range Contract. You will work with the Systems Engineering team to manage and execute processes, assist in requirements management for LTRS, and help develop architectural documents for baselines.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in systems engineering, strong communication, and a willingness to travel occasionally. Clearance eligibility and a valid U.S. driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
• 0–2 years in systems engineering or related technical field.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for mission support.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship).

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer Junior to support the Space Force Range Contract

Essential Functions:

• Support the Systems Engineering team in managing and executing systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.

• Assist in the management of LTRS requirements, including the use of requirements management tools.

• Support the development and management of architectural documents for the LTRS architecture baselines.

• Assist in performing architectural analysis at the system and subsystem levels, including assessing impacts to technical baselines.

• Support the Test & Evaluation (T&E) program by assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of T&E activities for LTRS modifications and new systems.

• Assist in performing requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation from the system level to the component level.

• Support the development of acquisition documentation (e.g., SOO, SOW, PWS) and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) development.

• Provide support for launch operations as required.

Minimum Experience:

• Flexibility to work occasional non-standard hours or weekends to support mission requirements.

• Though this position does not require frequent travel, the ability to travel is required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or DOORS Next Generation.

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo.

• Experience with work management tools such as Jira.

• Familiarity with any aspect of the systems engineering lifecycle (Requirements, Architecture, Test & Evaluation).

• Previous Range operations support experience.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Compensation Details:

90,000
