Job summary

ProSync Technology Group, LLC is seeking a Senior System Engineer to maintain system integrity, performance, and security in critical client/server environments. You will join a small, mission‑focused team that interacts with users and customers.

Responsibilities include advanced Linux operations, automated testing, Ansible development, container orchestration with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes, TLS management, RF installation, NiFi administration, and tiered mission support.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automation, testing, and validation.
• Experience with collection systems and mission support.
• Familiarity with Ansible scripts and container technologies.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Linux operations across complex environments with root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automated test procedures for mission readiness.
• Create, review, and debug scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Provide engineering support for collection platforms and data integrity.
• Deliver multi‑tier incident response and escalation coordination.
• Build and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks for deployment.
• Deploy and manage Docker/Podman containers; Kubernetes operations.
• Install and troubleshoot TLS certificates for secure communication.
• Support RF systems, modems, and signal‑path components.

Job description

ProSync is seeking a Sr. System Engineer with experience in System Administration Automation, management and security compliance. Candidate must focus on maintaining system integrity, performance, and security for critical client/server environments, demanding strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Candidate must be prepared to work with a small, mission focused team that frequently interacts with users and the customer.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced Linux Operations — Perform deep‑level administration, tuning, and troubleshooting across complex Linux environments, including NSYS‑level diagnostic workflows and root‑cause analysis.


• Automated Testing & Validation — Develop, execute, and maintain automated test procedures to validate system functionality, performance, and mission readiness.


• Script Analysis & Troubleshooting — Create, review, and debug scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.) to support automation, system diagnostics, and operational workflows.


• Collection System Support — Provide engineering and operational support for collection platforms, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and mission continuity.


• Tiered Mission Support — Deliver multi‑tier operational support, including incident response, escalation handling, and coordination with mission operations teams.


• Ansible Development — Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks and automation pipelines for configuration management and system deployment.


• Containerized Environments — Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker, Podman, or similar technologies.


• TLS & Certificate Management — Install, configure, and troubleshoot TLS/server certificates to ensure secure communication across distributed systems.


• RF & Modem Installation — Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of RF systems, modems, and associated signal‑path components.


• NiFi Administration — Provide operational and administrative support for NiFi dataflow environments, including performance tuning and flow optimization.


• Kubernetes Operations — Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters supporting mission applications and distributed processing.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of experience in system engineering (OR) An Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general system engineering experience (OR) A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience (OR) A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience.


• Advanced Linux experience; NSYS level troubleshooting experience.


• Automated testing experience.


• Scripting experience or at least the ability to walk through scripts for troubleshooting purposes.


• Collection system knowledge/experience.


• Tiered mission support experience.


• Experience creating Ansible scripts.


• Experience with containers.


• An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Desired Requirements

• FORNSAT knowledge, experience within the collection environment.


• TLS/server certificate installation/management/troubleshooting.


• RF installation/modem experience.


• NiFi knowledge and experience in operational support and administrative tasks.


• Experience with Kubernetes.
