Amtrak invites you to a Summer 2027 internship as a system engineer – intern, focusing on the ACMS asset condition monitoring system. You will handle IoT data from wayside scanners and onboard train sensors, building analytics solutions under moderate supervision.

You will work with vendors and internal teams to understand requirements, design and deploy moderate-complexity solutions, and write scripts for problem solving and data visualization.

Formación

• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
• Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science or a related field.
• Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Knowledge of various Image Processing techniques.
• Knowledge of programming languages - Python and Java.

Responsabilidades

• Resource will work closely with vendors and other teams to design, develop and deliver moderate complexity solutions and projects.
• Collaborate with customers, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
• Ability to write scripts in a variety of languages for both problem solving and visualization.
