Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a System Engineer II, Network to support MUSC’s academic, research and healthcare missions. Under general supervision, you will help with network services, resolve complex issues, and contribute to documentation and change management.

This role requires routing, switching, VOIP, wireless networks, IP address management, VPN, firewalls, and authentication services, with a 40-hour work week and a Health-29 pay grade.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and six years directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree and two years directly related experience required; or a Masters’ Degree in a related field.
  • Four years of Network experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service and communication skills.

  • Generate documentation, communications, processes and plans to mitigate disruption of change in network design and operations.

Required Education/Skills/Work Experience

Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers and monitoring applications.
