Job summary

RTX in Texas is seeking a System Engineer II – Mission Analyst to join a team delivering model-based mission analysis and simulation solutions for warfighter applications.

You will analyze and develop tools across sensors, communications, and control domains, delivering data to inform program decisions and collaborating with customers and stakeholders. A Secret clearance is required and onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the development and implementation of model‑based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement level simulations.
• Responsible for the development and integration of variable‑fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments.
• Modeling of system and mission kill chains using Government, Commercial, and/or Raytheon simulation tools.
• Executing mission system simulations and analyzing their results.
• Development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
• Participating in technical reviews with internal and external customers.
• You will contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.

The Operations and Mission Analysis department supports customer focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. Our teams develop, analyze, and create flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas such as sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. They develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements. As a System Engineer II – Mission Analyst, you will be part of a team of systems engineers dedicated to delivering best-in‑class Raytheon products for the warfighter through modeling, simulation, and analysis. Your work will help demonstrate mission effectiveness of systems and system‑of‑systems operating in complex threat environments. On this team, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing solutions across mission technologies, including sensors, effectors, communications, command and control, and more.

What You Will Do

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with standard government modeling tools including AFSIM, Suppressor, Brawler, or similar tools.


• Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and to represent their employment (verbally, graphically, and in simulations).


• Familiar with performing data analysis and statistics with large volumes of data.


• Familiar with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.


• Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
