Black Eagle Defense is seeking a System Engineer II to lead requirements-derived architecture, and to guide complex designs across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will author critical system documentation, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure technical integrity of deliverables.

The role demands extensive SE experience, deep knowledge of CONOPS and SRS artifacts, and the ability to brief senior executives with technical rigor. Strong communication is essential.

Formación

• Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; five (5) years additional SE experience may substitute for the degree.
• Hands-on experience in systems engineering and IT architecture.
• Proven track record designing and managing architectures for on‑premises data centers and cloud environments.
• Expert-level experience engineering complex networks and end-user computing solutions at scale.
• Mastery in authoring formal SE artifacts (CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, Test Plans).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of briefing senior executives.
• Desired: INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCIE/CCNP/CISSP.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system visions to derive formal system requirements specifications.
• Architect and optimize complex infrastructures across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Guide stakeholders in formulating requirements and evaluate alternative technical approaches.
• Provide technical leadership for seamless integration of functional requirements and system designs.
• Author and oversee system integration and test plans for verification and validation.
• Interface with government overseers, customer leadership, and senior executives on engineering considerations.
• Collaborate with Program Managers and multidisciplinary teams to align architecture with execution schedules.
• Prepare and defend technical documentation in TEMs and other technical exchanges.
