Job summary

HEICO's Sensor Technology Engineering (STE) in Goleta, CA, is seeking a System Engineer I to contribute to the development, design, and delivery of radiation detection systems for CWMD and EOD missions. The role requires a BS/MS in engineering and strong problem-solving abilities, with on-site collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

The position offers a competitive salary range ($80k–$110k, DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package, with on-site work and standard Mon-Fri

Qualifications

BS/MS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
Excellent troubleshooting capability and analytical skills.
Ability to set priorities and organize incoming projects.
Familiarity with Windows, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Supports optimization of production throughput and processes, including SW development and data analytics.
Supports engineering redesign efforts, particularly obsolescence management.
Responsible for revision of BOMs, drawings and part numbers as directed.
Performs routine troubleshooting, test and calibration in support of production.
Supports operations (purchasing and production) to facilitate on-time, high-quality deliveries.
Works with electrical and mechanical engineering staff to document changes to hardware and deviations from standard procedures.
