Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform systems engineering in support of Maryland Procurement Office, including defining CONOPS, requirements, and use cases.

The role involves high-level system design, interface definitions, test plans, lifecycle activities, and coordination with customers and teams to ensure solutions meet mission needs. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required and Full Scope Polygraph. Salary range $115,000-$130,000 per year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus 7 years relevant experience.
Master’s Degree plus 5 years relevant experience.
Doctoral Degree plus 3 years relevant experience Degree must be in Engineering or a relevant technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics).

Responsibilities

Define, document, and maintain CONOPS, operational requirements, system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
Perform high-level system design, including specification of system and component performance requirements and interface definitions.
Develop and support installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
Continuously assess existing organizational processes and engineering work products to ensure alignment with strategic and tactical objectives.
Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure delivered solutions satisfy mission and technical requirements.
Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for solutions developed by product and engineering teams.
Support systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Provide technical input to planning, risk management, and engineering decision-making activities.
Prepare and support technical documentation, reviews, and briefings for stakeholders
