Job summary

TRUE Community Credit Union is seeking a System Engineer - Database & Virtualization to design, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across databases, cloud, virtualization, and hybrid environments.

This role collaborates with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems that serve members, employees, and business operations.

Qualifications

As a System Engineer - Database & Virtualization, you'll design, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across database, cloud, virtualization, and hybrid technology environments. This role plays a key part in maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available systems that support our members, employees, and business operations.

What You'll Do

• Design, manage, and optimize enterprise database environments, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data integrity practices.
• Design, implement, and support virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
• Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams to support business objectives.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support disaster recovery and resiliency efforts.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud administration, database administration, or related technology roles
• Strong hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar enterprise database platforms).
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience supporting VDI solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture and integrating on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, and enterprise infrastructure security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a financial institution or other regulated environment.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with enterprise storage, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or VMware certifications.

Pay & Benefits

• $95,000 - $125,000+ depending on relevant experience
