Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a System Engineer to support CMS and Prime Contracts, helping design, modernize, and sustain enterprise applications across secure environments. You will bridge technical and functional perspectives while collaborating with software, cloud, and DevSecOps teams.

The role emphasizes requirement elicitation, sprint planning, and delivering budgeting/financial management capabilities in a fast-paced, Agile setting with extensive stakeholder interaction.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of SE experience (nineteen (19) years may substitute for the degree).
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Willingness to learn and develop understanding of new technologies and products.
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules.
• Experience with requirements management and working with customers to capture the definition of done.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and decompose requirements with Technical Team Leads, Product Owners, and Government stakeholders.
• Prioritize backlogs and participate in sprint planning across multiple products.
• Support software testing, evaluation activities, and user acceptance efforts.
• Develop use cases, business processes, and user workflows.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and continuous process improvement.
• Prepare schedule inputs and support release planning activities.
• Identify, communicate, and track dependencies, impediments, and risks.
• Collaborate across product teams to ensure alignment of budgeting and financial management capabilities.
• Mentor junior systems engineers in SE, Agile, and stakeholder engagement.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior systems engineers, helping to develop their systems engineering, Agile, and stakeholder engagement skills while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $185,000-$215,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
