Job summary

Adaptic is seeking a Systems Engineer to bridge mission needs, technical requirements, and system design for DoD and Intelligence Community initiatives. You will guide complex systems through their lifecycle, balancing CONOPS with architectural direction and program priorities.

The role requires moving between requirements, architecture, integration, testing, and mission priorities while aligning technical teams around a shared vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field; 7 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree; 5 years of relevant experience.
• Doctoral degree; 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fields may include Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Experience across lifecycle stages from conception to decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Developing and documenting CONOPS, operational/system requirements, and use cases.
• Translating operational needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Performing high-level system design.
• Defining system/component performance and interface requirements.
• Developing installation, integration, and acceptance test strategies and plans.
• Coordinating across customers, project teams, and partner organizations to ensure solutions satisfy requirements.
• Assessing existing processes and engineering work products to identify improvements.
• Supporting systems throughout design, development, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, and support.
• Helping product teams establish and maintain a shared technical and architectural vision.
• Working across technical disciplines to resolve system-level challenges and keep solutions aligned with mission objectives.

Your Impact
