This position would be a 6-month Contract-to-Hire.

Are you an experienced IT professional ready to take on diverse technical challenges and make a direct impact with clients across industries? We’re looking for an IT Consultant to join a fast-paced, client-focused environment supporting a wide range of technology infrastructure needs.

You’ll play a critical role in managing servers, networks, desktops, firewalls, cloud platforms, and more - all while building strong relationships with multiple businesses. If you're the kind of person who enjoys problem-solving, wearing multiple hats, and providing proactive solutions, this could be your ideal next step.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the primary technical resource for multiple clients, managing everything from daily issues to long-term IT strategy.
• Plan and deliver complex technology projects across diverse environments.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade servers, networks, firewalls, and endpoint devices.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
• Lead meetings, delegate tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Provide end-to-end solutions, from virus removal to high-level infrastructure overhauls.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3+ years of IT management or consulting experience (MSP background strongly preferred).
• Experience working with a variety of technologies in fast-paced or multi-client settings.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Must reside in Austin or nearby to support onsite visits.

Technical Experience Desired

(Not all required, but the more the better!)

• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Exchange, SQL Server
• Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar firewalls
• Networking: LAN/WAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN
• AWS or other cloud platforms
• Desktop & endpoint support across client operating systems
• IT security tools and concepts
