OmicronVis is hiring a Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy command and control programs under Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR). The work is Foreign Military Sales: we build and integrate maritime surveillance and C2 capability for partner nations, then go stand it up in their country.
This is not a role where you own one screen of one system for three years. In a given month you might be working radar and sensor integration, aerostats, unmanned systems, sonar, communications vehicles, and microwave towers, and figuring out how all of it talks to a common operational picture. Then you brief it to a Combatant Commander or a partner-nation delegation.
This is fundamental systems engineering, practiced across a portfolio rather than inside one box. You take partner-nation requirements and information exchange needs, turn them into defined interfaces and engineering action, integrate capabilities that were never designed to talk to each other, and verify the result does what was promised.
You should also be comfortable enough with the computing and network environment these systems run on (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization) to hold a credible technical conversation and troubleshoot alongside the people who own it. You do not need to be the network engineer.
Navy C4I is where this work lives, but systems engineering discipline travels. Air Force, Army, Joint, and coalition C2 experience transfers directly, and so does structured SE work from the broader aerospace and defense world: requirements management, MBSE, interface control, verification planning. Transitioning service members with a technical degree and a clearance are encouraged to apply.
requirements management or MBSE tooling (DOORS, Cameo, or similar), GCCS-M or GCCS-J, Link 16/11 or JREAP, FMS or Security Cooperation experience, CANES or ADNS, Security+ or CCNA, field engineering and SOVT at OCONUS sites.
OmicronVis, LLC is an SBA 8(a) small disadvantaged business supporting U.S. Navy C4I programs. Small enough that your work is visible, established enough to put you in front of the customer immediately.
