Job summary

STS Government Solutions, LLC (SGS) is seeking a System Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The System Engineer will support the project team for the new mission, providing engineering support for Depot Test Systems and aircraft avionics.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong MBSE, requirements management, and JIRA/DOORS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a 5+ year track record in systems engineering for avionics or Depot Test Systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership and contracting officers.
• Experience with MBSE, JIRA, or DOORS and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for Depot Test Systems (DTS) and Automatic Test Systems (ATS).
• Support upgrades and modifications to DTS used to repair aircraft systems.
• Assist in equipment and software acquisition and integration.
• Review data packages, software, and specs; align with standards and performance metrics.
• Document findings in technical reports in line with CDRL A003–A007.
• Participate in kick-off, status, design reviews, and PMR meetings.
• Support reverse engineering activities as needed.
• Assess data gaps and report findings to Government stakeholders.

STS Government Solutions, LLC (SGS) is a Government Consulting and Contracting firm supporting missions throughout the world. SGS is seeking a System Engineer to join our team. The System Engineer’s role is to support the project team for their new mission in San Antonio, TX.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide engineering support for numerous Depot Test Systems (DTS) and Automatic Test Systems (ATS).
• Support U.S. Government requirements to upgrade and/or modify multiple DTS used to repair various aircraft systems and components.
• Support the acquisition and integration of new equipment and software.
• Review technical data packages, software, and comprehensive technical specifications for desired capabilities, incorporating applicable codes, standards, certification requirements, performance metrics, and desired product features in support of the Automated Test Equipment Modernization (ATEM) effort.
• Document findings in technical reports IAW CDRL A003, A004, A005, and A006.
• Participate in project meetings and events, including kick-off meetings, weekly status meetings, technical interchange meetings, Program Management Reviews (PMR), design reviews, configuration audits, and acceptance events.
• Support reverse engineering activities.
• Assess technical data gaps and provide reports to the Government IAW CDRL A007.

What You Bring:

Required:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of recent, relevant systems engineering experience in aircraft avionics and/or Depot Test Systems or electronics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with contracting officers and senior site leadership.
• Strong knowledge of requirements management, verification and validation, and configuration management.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), JIRA, or DOORS.
