Atlantic.Net is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer with a passion for delivering excellent technical support and outstanding customer service. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage our core IT infrastructure, requiring extensive hands‑on experience maintaining equipment within a physical data center environment while simultaneously managing and scaling multi‑tenant public and private cloud architecture. This includes Linux and Microsoft Windows administration, virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, and Hyper‑V), and Active Directory management. Working closely with cross‑functional teams in a lean, agile environment, you will enjoy true ownership of systems as you optimize infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement reliable solutions. This is a strictly onsite, datacenter‑based role in Orlando, FL. Only local candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Identity and Access Management: Assist in the administration of Active Directory and/or alternative identity providers (e.g., LDAP), supporting user account lifecycle management, group policy/ACL management, and integration with security tools, including Intune.
• Server Management: Administer and optimize Windows and Linux server environments, performing tasks such as configuration management, performance tuning, security hardening (following established standards), and troubleshooting.
• Jira Administration: Configures, maintains, and optimizes the organization's Jira instance, managing custom workflows, permissions, and integrations to streamline team productivity and project tracking.
• Automation & Configuration Management: Develop and maintain automation scripts and contribute to configuration management solutions to streamline deployments and enforce configuration consistency.
• Cloud Integration: Assist in the design, implementation, and management of hybrid cloud environments, integrating on‑premise server infrastructure with cloud services.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Configure and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
• Back‑up Administration and Monitoring: Oversees the organization's data protection strategy by configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise backup solutions like Veeam and other industry‑standard tools to ensure reliable data recovery, system availability, and compliance.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (development, security, network, support) to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and new project deployments. Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed system documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• Experience: Working in a physical data center environment and multi‑tenant public and private cloud architecture.
• Linux Expertise: Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and core services.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks.
• Configuration Management: Familiarity with configuration management tools.
• Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and services (VPN, firewall).
• Analytical & Problem‑Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement security controls and assist Security Team for audits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
