Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our computer systems and networks in the United States. The role includes securing systems, managing hardware and software, and supporting end-users across the company.

You will collaborate with IT to deploy VMware, AWS, and Azure, ensure robust protection against cyber threats, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. A strong team player with excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and DNS.
• Experience with server virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
