Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a System Engineer to support government CMS programs across enterprise applications. You will liaise between Government leadership and the development team, facilitate agile processes, and help prioritize work and communicate risks and dependencies.

The role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, a Bachelor's degree with 14 years of SE experience (19 years available in lieu of degree), and experience on software teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14 years’ SE experience; 19 years may substitute for degree.
  • Experience on software development teams with diverse skillsets.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules.
  • Experience with requirements management and defining done with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system engineering support for a HR Applications and Services organization’s software development team.
  • Act as liaison between Government leadership and the development team to establish priorities and communicate with end users.
  • Work with technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs and communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment.

These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security,logisticsand more.   • Provide system engineering support for a Human Resource Applications and Services organization’s software development team.
  • Primary responsibilities will be acting as the direct liaison between Government leadership and the development team toestablishpriorities,facilitatingagile processes, communicating with team members, theGovernmentand end user customers.
  • The individual will need to work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Freedom Program Management team.
  • This individual must be willing to tackle challenges and be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • A bachelor’s degree and fourteen (14) years’ experience as an SE in programs isrequired. Nineteen (19) years’ experience as an SE may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience as a system engineer on a software development team with diverse skillsets and experience levels
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Willingness to learn and develop strong understandingnew technologiesand products
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules
  • Experience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of done

Desired:

  • Experience with Atlassian Suite products including Confluence & Managing Jira
  • Strong project leadership skillsto includeidentifyingopportunities,risksand communicating with all levels of contractor and Government leadership.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $185,000-$215,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company’s comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
