Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across Azure and Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and AD/Entra ID.

You will act as the primary technical owner for identity, compute, storage, and disaster recovery, delivering secure, scalable solutions. This role requires hands-on expertise to drive modernization, security improvements, and documentation while coordinating across IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or senior infrastructure roles.
• Proven ability to independently execute and deliver complex technical work.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across:
• Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Windows Server and Active Directory / Entra ID
• Virtualization, storage, and backup systems
• Serve as the primary technical owner for core infrastructure services including identity, compute, storage, and disaster recovery
• Operate as a senior technical expert, capable of designing and troubleshooting complex systems independently
• Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, standards, and configurations

Project Delivery & Execution

• Own and deliver infrastructure projects end-to-end, from planning through implementation, stabilization, and handoff
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining accountability for timelines, outcomes, and quality
• Deliver modernization efforts, including cloud adoption, system standardization, and security improvements
• Ensure projects are completed with clear outcomes, accountability, and minimal disruption
• Prioritize and manage workload across projects and operational responsibilities

Security, Backup & Reliability

• Implement and maintain security controls across systems and infrastructure

About the Role

This role requires flexibility to travel as needed during key project phases, system implementations, and site support activities (~10%).
