Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
• 3+ years of current, hands-on experience managing and maintaining production server infrastructure.
• Proven administration experience with a hypervisor platform such as VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or a comparable environment.
• Direct experience with backup appliances, backup monitoring, restore processes, and recovery planning.
• Solid networking knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively across systems and network infrastructure.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, troubleshooting, and information-security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the virtualized server environment, provisioning and configuring VMs.
• Monitor server performance, integrity, and availability, preemptively addressing issues.
• Own and improve backup routines, recovery readiness, and disaster-recovery documentation.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, M365 permissions/licenses, OS patching, and core infrastructure security controls.
• Apply established GPOs, information-security standards, and technical best practices across servers, storage, and computing platforms.
• Work closely with Network Engineer, provide coverage when needed, and serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource for Help Desk and OT network needs.
• Partner with internal users and vendors to troubleshoot issues and deliver dependable, well-documented infrastructure solutions.
