We are seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and support complex electrical and hardware systems used in highly regulated industrial environments. This role is responsible for taking customer and engineering requirements and transforming them into manufacturable, reliable products while ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality requirements. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, project management, suppliers, and customers to support projects from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and hardware systems based on customer and engineering specifications.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and improve existing systems, including redesigning obsolete or legacy components.
- Perform circuit analysis, component selection, and system testing to validate functionality and performance.
- Develop and execute test plans, qualification procedures, and validation protocols.
- Investigate product failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, calculations, test reports, engineering change notices (ECNs), and technical reports.
- Work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and external testing laboratories to support production and product qualification.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Support project planning by assisting with technical estimates, schedules, and engineering deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, electrical design, or hardware development.
- Experience creating electrical schematics, circuit designs, and PCB layouts.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, and circuit analysis.
- Experience with product testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
