Amperesand in Reno, United States, is seeking a System Electronics Leader to own the SST electronics architecture. You will lead a team of design engineers, define low-voltage/mixed-signal control, sensing, and protection, and drive architecture decisions across voltage domains and safety requirements.

The role collaborates with firmware, controls, mechanical, and test teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective products for high-voltage power infrastructure in a fast-moving startup

Competenze

• BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in electronics or power electronics hardware development, with at least 4 years in a people-leadership role managing technical teams.

Mansioni

• Own the end-to-end system-level electronics architecture for SST products.
• Define the low-voltage and mixed-signal architecture for control, sensing, and protection.
• Set architectural direction across the system: functional partitioning, interface definition, voltage-domain isolation, grounding, protection, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
• Define the 800V power architecture and direction for auxiliary power converter architecture.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of design engineers.
• Drive requirements decomposition, interface control, and architecture reviews balancing performance, reliability, safety, cost, and manufacturability.
• Own the electronics roadmap across multiple product generations.
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical and test engineering teams.
• Support EMC compliance, functional safety, and safety certification at the system level.
