Responsibilities

  • The System Director, Revenue Integrity, is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the hospital and physician practice revenue cycle, including accurate documentation reflecting registration, clinical service delivery, charging, coding, billing, and remittance, in compliance with regulatory and payor requirements.
  • Directs ongoing education programs for physicians and ancillary staff regarding documentation and regulatory compliance, monitoring CMS requirements and integrating them into facility and practice processes.
  • Supports Patient Financial Services to ensure accurate billing and payment compliance, reviews billing edit issues, and serves on relevant committees to ensure compliance.
  • Provides support and education to Norton Healthcare coders to improve coding accuracy across hospital, physician services, and Norton Cancer Institute, including planning coding audits.
  • Monitors the Charge Description Master (CDM) to ensure proper charge capture and reimbursement, collaborating with clinical and support departments.
  • Performs financial analyses of revenue and reimbursement, acting as a link between clinical and financial departments, and supports future service line development regarding reimbursement potential.

Qualifications

  • Required: Five years of management experience in a healthcare setting; Bachelor Degree.
  • Desired: One year of experience with Epic; Master Degree; Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder.
