Responsibilities

This position requires residence in the Mountain Region (CO, KS, UT) and hospital experience in this region. The role supports hospitals in these areas and is remote within the Mountain Region. Must have experience in Labor Productivity Management, Finance, and Healthcare.

The Operations Performance team in our Performance Improvement Department develops and implements staffing standards, productivity management guidelines, labor budget targets, and benchmarking tools. The role demands strong financial analysis skills, with a focus on labor productivity within a large healthcare system.

This position provides consulting services to enhance the fiscal and operational health of CommonSpirit Health, focusing on operating efficiencies and labor cost reductions. It directs management engineering and consulting services for over 40 hospitals and affiliates, aiming to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of operations, with a primary focus on labor costs exceeding $1.5 billion annually for 35,000 FTEs. Continuous cost reduction through process redesign and effective labor management is essential.

Responsibilities include leading financial operations services aligned with the organization’s mission and philosophy, identifying operational improvements, and managing consulting projects to optimize labor costs and operational efficiency across multiple entities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: At least 12 years of hospital management engineering and/or management consulting experience, including 5 years of management experience with a proven record of cost reduction, revenue enhancement, quality improvement, and systems implementation. Line management and mentoring experience in productivity measurement are required.

Preferred Experience: Productivity/Labor Management expertise.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or Finance; Master's Degree preferred.

Pay Range
