Hoosier Energy is seeking a Senior System Administrator for OT with hybrid remote capabilities. The role focuses on administering Linux-based OT systems, SCADA environments, and related infrastructure within the System Control Center, ensuring cyber security and compliance with NERC CIP standards.

The candidate will coordinate with Corporate IT and Compliance, support energy management infrastructure, and plan upgrades and lifecycle activities while coaching other system administrators.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field minimum.
• Seven years’ relevant IT experience in software, hardware, network administration minimum.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees and supports all phases of the Hoosier Energy SCADA environment, Linux servers, workstations and peripheral systems with special attention on Cyber Security and NERC/Regional Reliability Standards requirements.
• Implements the System Control Center Linux server/workstation/network patch management process to maintain compliance and security requirements.
• Assists Hoosier Energy’s Compliance department to assure compliance with NERC/Regional Reliability Standards applicable with the System Control Center.
• Oversees and supports the System Control Energy Management system infrastructure and processes.
• Plans future activities such as new systems, upgrades, and life cycles, among others.
• Supports control center personnel and functionality by assisting corporate IT in the development and support of all System Control business critical applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Senior System Administrator, OT Hybrid Remote

Oversees, monitors, and optimizes Hoosier Energy’s Linux computing systems in the operational technology network. Leads in the maintenance of operational software functionality utilized within the System Control Center. Assumes a proactive and primary role in NERC/Regional Reliability Standards compliance requirements including Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements as they pertain to the System Control Center function. Coordinates with and assists the corporate IT and Compliance departments with regards to Hoosier Energy’s NERC/Regional Reliability Standards compliance policies, plans, procedures, and evidentiary documentation. Coaches and develops System Administrators, OT and other staff members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees and supports all phases of the Hoosier Energy SCADA environment, Linux servers, workstations and peripheral systems with special attention on Cyber Security and NERC/Regional Reliability Standards requirements.


• Implements the System Control Center Linux server/workstation/network patch management process as required to maintain compliance and security requirements for all applicable NERC standards and security requirements.


• Assists Hoosier Energy’s Compliance department to assure compliance with NERC/Regional Reliability Standards applicable with the System Control Center.

• Plans future activities such as new systems, upgrades, and life cycles, among others.


• Supports control center personnel and functionality by assisting corporate IT in the development and support of all System Control business critical applications.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Systems or related field minimum

Experience:

• Seven years’ relevant IT experience in software, hardware, network administration minimum

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and work as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying scopes and timelines.


• Advanced computer skills including a strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, local area networks, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers and firewalls


• Familiarity with routers, switches and firewalls


• Knowledge in Active Directory and Group Policy configuration and management


• Knowledge of virtualization technologies


• Expert level experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows operating systems


• General familiarity with SIEM technology


• Technical experience working with hardware associated with servers, workstations and peripherals


• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions


• Familiarity with programmingscripting languages such as C#, Powershell, Bash, Batch


• Strong understanding of IT security
