Job description

Healthcare system looking to bring on System AVP Laboratories, Bonus Incentives!

Sets the strategic direction and is responsible for all multi-campus aspects of Laboratory services including Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Laboratory, Outreach, Quality Management System, Process Improvement, Standardization, Regulatory Compliance, Customer Service, and Courier programs. Is directly responsible for the Core Laboratory (pre- and post-analytic, as well as analytic) and laboratory services business relationships. Maintains effective and collaborative relationships with the executives and laboratory directors across the organization to maximize the success of laboratory and courier services.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration
• Deep understanding of clinical laboratory operations, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes. Thorough knowledge of laboratory regulations and standards, such as CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and HIPAA, and the ability to ensure compliance across the system.
• 5+ years of previous administrative laboratory leadership experience in an integrated health system or equivalent.
• American Society for Clinical Pathology registered as Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist.
• 5+ years of previous administrative laboratory leadership experience in an integrated health system with multiple hospitals, outreach laboratory services, and anatomic pathology services.
• Must be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
