Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Product Architect to define and drive next-generation protocol bridges, interface aggregators, and connectivity hubs. You will translate complex customer needs into robust product specifications and work with design, test, marketing, and applications teams to deliver on time.

The role demands 15+ years of experience in product definition, deep knowledge of USB2/eUSB2, I2C, UART, IEEE1722/1588, and expertise in system architecture for

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in new product definition and architecture specification.
• Solid knowledge of interface specifications including USB2/eUSB2, I3C, I2C, UART, SPMI, SDIO, I2S, real time Ethernet 100M/1G.
• Experience with protocol bridging, aggregators and interface expander solutions.
• Knowledge of Timestamping and Security/Encryption is beneficial.
• Experience with IEEE1722 and IEEE1588 implementations.
• Understanding of mobile, data centers, robotics and embedded/IoT architectures.
• Strategic thinking to collaborate with partners and OEMs for innovative proposals.
• Active participation in standardization efforts.
• Experience in developing System-C function models and timing-accurate modeling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Identify new markets and emerging application trends to define roadmap for protocol bridges and connectivity hubs.
• Translate customer requirements to product specs with compelling value proposition and competitive advantages.
• Conduct competitive technical analysis and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products on time.
• Prepare technical documentation and develop demos highlighting product advantages.
• Oversee development of reference circuits and demonstration boards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to secure design-ins.
• Provide application support and training for key customers and field engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Customer accounts to support engagements and campaigns.
