Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to ensure design feasibility and to drive standardization across domains. You will maximize reuse of functions and components while guiding design optimization using cost and timing as key drivers.

The role involves building a roadmap for the domain to drive product improvements, working with cross-functional teams, and applying ISO 26262 knowledge to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering.
• 8+ years of automotive systems experience.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written, to convey technical content to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to translate high-level functional needs into functional allocations for systems.
• Understanding of configuration management.
• Good project management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environment with minimal productivity impact.
• Strong Automotive Systems background and product development experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262.

• To ensure the feasibility of the systems design according to the project constraints
• To drive standardization and maximize reuse of functions
• To drive standardization and maximize reuse of components
• To drive design optimization while using cost and timing as a decision driver
• To build and deploy a roadmap for their domain area to drive improvement to the product

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of automotive experience in a systems environment
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to communicate technical content to a non-technical audience
• Ability to interpret high level functional needs and define the functional allocation for the various systems
• Understanding of the need for configuration management
• Good project management skills
• Flexibility - must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
• Strong Automotive Systems Background
• Strong Background in Engineering Product Development
• Knowledge of ISO 26262

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with Systems Engineering
• Experience with system network topology diagrams
• Strong understanding of automotive electronics and electrical system
• Knowledge of working understanding of systems modeling
