Role : System Analyst (Remote with Travel)

Location : (Houston, TX) remote with occasionally travel -expenses will be paid by the client.

Duration : 6+ months

Job Description :

  • We are seeking a Sr Analyst (over 3 years' experience) that has both Willow Inventory and Willow Ambulatory certifications (Willow Inventory more important) and they must have implemented Willow inventory multiple times in an ambulatory setting. They have to be comfortable traveling to Houston 1x a month for Go-Live.
  • Senior Epic Willow Inventory Certified Analyst to support the successful implementation of Epic Willow Inventory across multiple ambulatory care sites transitioning from paper-based inventory management systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth migration by working closely with clinical and supply chain stakeholders to design, build, test, and optimize the Epic Willow Inventory module for non-acute care environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Epic Willow Inventory in ambulatory clinics, including discovery, design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Conduct comprehensive workflow analysis to understand existing paper-based inventory processes and translate them into efficient, electronic workflows within Epic.
  • Configure and maintain supply chain master data, including formulary items, location par levels, BIN assignments, orderable items, and vendor information.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, clinical teams, supply chain management, and IT counterparts to ensure alignment of project goals and adoption strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on Epic Willow Inventory best practices, optimization opportunities, and ambulatory-specific use cases.
  • Perform system testing (unit, integrated, and user acceptance) and validate inventory workflows meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver training and at-the-elbow support during go-lives and post-live stabilization phases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including build specs, test scripts, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior analysts and provide guidance on ambulatory inventory configurations.

Required Qualifications :

  • Epic Willow Inventory Certification is required.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Epic Willow analyst with at least 2 years supporting ambulatory or clinic-based settings.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or heavily supporting a paper-to-EHR migration initiative, preferably in outpatient or specialty clinic environments.
  • Multiple full life cycle Willow Inventory implementations.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and pharmacy operations in non-acute care settings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Pharmacist, pharmacy degree or background.
  • Willingness to travel onsite as needed during go-live.
  • Willow Ambulatory certification.
