Systems Analyst – Revenue Cycle (Remote)

Salary: $68,000 per year | Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support business solutions within the Revenue Cycle portfolio, including Health Information Management (HIM), Patient Accounting, Billing, Claims, Payments, Finance/General Ledger, and Patient Portal/Consumer Framework. This role involves system assessment, development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance using various technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist users and IT personnel with training and development of user documentation.
• Develop system designs and functional specifications based on operational needs.
• Evaluate, design, build, test, and implement custom or vendor-supplied software while developing system-wide reports.
• Maintain production systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Prepare unit, system, and integrated test plans with proper test methodologies.
• Provide day-to-day support for customers and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and test system enhancements.
• Identify data integrity issues, analyze data and process flows, and find process improvement opportunities.
• Perform data analysis to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
• Work effectively on project teams and meet deadlines.
• Build, test, and maintain integration points with revenue cycle and clinical solutions.
• Provide 24/7 application support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Evaluate, approve, and deliver requested system changes following internal IT break/fix and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards and regulatory policies (e.g., HIPAA).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience working with large-scale enterprise information systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting revenue cycle solutions in areas such as patient access, HIM, revenue integrity, patient accounting, billing, and/or finance.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a healthcare-related field.
• Hands-on experience with project delivery and the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Project Management.
• 3+ years of Cerner Millennium experience.
• Prior experience with patient financial services, patient access, and/or health information systems.
• Proficiency in SQL databases, data structures, and HL7 ADT transactions.
• Experience working with RPG, COBOL, Java, XML, SQL, Crystal Reports, Hyperion, SAS, or Cerner CCL.
• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing large-scale projects and software implementations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Visio.
